A DETAILED LOOK AT THE GARDEN OF EDEN A mural by Alann

The mistake people make is that they look but do not see. Let's have a
closer look at my mural, zoom into the pores of it. It is like looking
at the heavenly skies and see constellations and stars, but when you
zoom into it you see details in the moon, the specks and particles, that
seem to be another life of its own. Each speck has a story to tell.
What looks abstract turns into figurative.

THE EVE FROM AFRICA THEORY BY TERENCE MCKENNA

I DID NOT PLAN THIS MURAL TO ILLUSTRATE AN EXCERPT FROM A LECTURE OF
HIS. BUT IT SO HAPPENED that I recorded a part in audio from a YouTube
video of his lecture in the 90s. and when I synchronised it with my
video of my mural, it turned out to be the perfect match. Watch for
yourselves. After his audio, I have an audio of a jam session with
friends on Christmas Eve.
I improvised the blues. And that audio too falls in place with the
imagery here.
Both audios were waiting to be combined with my artwork. Synchronicity, I
call that divine.

I DID NOT PLAN THIS MURAL TO ILLUSTRATE AN EXCERPT FROM A LECTURE BY TERENCE MCKENNA,
But it so happened that a week ago, I recorded a part in audio from a YouTube video of his lecture in the 90s.
When
I synchronised it with my video of my mural, it turned out to be the
perfect match. Synchronicity! Watch it for yourselves. This is me as a
storyteller and as a Method Painter (I coined that myself) with a
tongue-in-cheek epilogue at the end, I made 3 versions. The long one,
which starts in the fast forward mode of the beginning of my mural, one
without McKenna's lecture and one with. One auto censored (in
visuals)version and one integrally edited, which has not been uploaded
yet. This one here is half the part that starts with the mural finished
99%.

WHEN MY MURAL TURNS SHAMANIC

Just 2 days ago, I came out of a 1-hour trance, provoked by the painting
and probably by what I painted. I had gone swimming at 8 am for half an
hour. I was dithering about whether I should start fasting.


So, until 4 am I still had not taken any food in but 4 cups of black
coffee.



I had just painted the tykes, Terence McKenna mentions so often
(I was listening wall morning to 2 lectures of his on YouTube).

Then my crow friend landed and perched at the end of the balcony ledge
out of my sight, and cawed to me for 20 minutes, non-stop, while I
chanted my ikaros (shamanic songs to call the spirits) . This is the second time in 8 months I get in trance
without using substances.



Last year, in Pokhara-Nepal, last year, before dusk, I got in a trance
through singing and quick dancing, by the lake, and had often chanted
Lord Shiva's name and his manifestations.

The cawing crow flew away and then a bird arrived I had never seen
before, it flew away instantly when it saw me moving. I think it was a
baby oystercatcher. Anyway, I did by compulsion all that went on
telepathically through my mind.

At some point, I was 'told' I needed to paint my face and body.



It is
definitely through fasting I got this result. I was totally in tune with
the painting moment, creation. I had no visual hallucinations. I
suppose my painting was the visuals accompanied by the ikaros.



PS: I recorded it aurally and then managed to film myself.

 A little wisdom and knowledge go a long way. So, in this art clip, I made I allow Terence McKenna to do a voice-over on the Italians who discovered classicism art in various places and began reading Plato and other Ancient Greeks.
